What We Believe

We Believe that:

The Holy Trinity is one God with three members, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

God the Father created the universe and all that is in it.

Jesus Christ is true God and true man conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a perfect life, suffered and died to pay the price for all sin. He rose from death so that we might have eternal life.

The Holy Spirit creates and maintains faith in us through Word and Sacrament that we may be called the children of God.

We are sinners in need of salvation. From the Garden of Eden and continuing in every one of us, sin has affected our relationship with God and those around us. There is nothing we can do to make ourselves right in the eyes of God. Our good works will not get us into heaven; and therefore, God in His mercy and grace sends His only begotten Son into our world of sin to be our Savior.

We are people of Word who trust the divinely inspired Word of God to teach us about our sin and God’s love for all people in Jesus. Not only does it guide us in the way of truth, it reveals the Word made flesh for us in Jesus Christ.

The Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion give us life and salvation. In Holy Baptism, God brings us into His family through water and Word. In the Lord’s Supper we receive in, with and under the bread and wine the very body and blood of Jesus that was given and shed for us for the forgiveness of sins.

Our Mission Mandate is: Engaging all generations to be passionate followers of our Risen Savior.
