How do you do ministry to a world that is ambivalent or even hostile to the message of Jesus? Join us as we seek to put words to what we’re experiencing in our culture and underscore the urgency of engaging our world differently.
We’ve seen a growing change in our culture where fewer and fewer people claim to be Christian, share our values, or welcome our influence on society. We will return to Scripture where we see Jesus not only attracted great crowds but also discipled a few to be sent to reach the many. At Risen Savior, we’ve focused our ministry on attracting the crowds and assimilating, which is working very well in our context, but what about the people we aren’t reaching? Your friends, neighbors, and perhaps family who don’t have a relationship with Jesus.
Come and learn how to do ministry in an ever-changing world? Discover that everyone, with some coaching, can feel very comfortable entering into spiritual conversations with their friends and acquaintances inside and outside the church. Jock and Gail Ficken from PLI, one of our Mission Partners, will lead us in a spirited and lively discussion introducing us to a couple programs PLI offers to help us reach those around us.
